A Little About Me

I am a sculptor, mixed media artist from Jamaica. I discovered paper mache in 2008 while working on a Halloween project with my kids. I really enjoyed working with this medium and started on my quest for knowledge. Through books and online research, I mastered this medium and  I have since branched off into polymer clay, air-dry clays, and plaster. I will often use a mix of these in my sculptures.

In 2013 I discovered mixed media and my quest for knowledge continued. After doing many online courses and acquiring quite a collection of books, I learned to do whimsical drawings (which I absolutely love!) as well as so many great techniques for adding texture to my artwork.   I fell in love with mixed media and now I find myself combining everything I  have learned over the years to produce one of a kind mixed media sculptures.

My latest achievement is opening my own online school, Paper Mache Patch, where I host art and craft workshops. I also have a number of workshops at skillshare.com. I continuously add new workshops throughout the year so remember to join my mailing list so don’t miss out.

If you are looking for free tutorials, you will find an assortment on my YouTube Channel and on the blogs of the companies below which I currently design for:

  1. The Creative Paper Clay® Co.
  2. The Robin’s Nest Design Team
